It is just so much fun to photograph “sitter” milestone baby sessions! As a Raleigh Baby Photographer with over 10 years of experience, this age group has always been one of my absolute favorites to work with. Usually babies are sitting independently when they are about 6 or 7 months old, but it depends on the baby. Some parents like to capture their little one right around the 6-month mark, even if they aren’t quite sitting independently yet, and some parents like to wait until the baby is comfortably sitting alone to get their pictures taken. Either way, it is an adorable time! Babies usually have some favorite songs or toys that make them smile and giggle. Some babies are very serious and just want to observe everything around them, which is also special to photograph! My goal is always to capture the baby’s personality in their photos.
It can also be fun to include a prop or two from home that has special meaning to the family. This little guy’s parents like golf and baseball, so they included those items in a few shots.
