Although these sweet babies are often peacefully asleep in their photos, it takes a lot of patience and finesse to keep them cozy and happy during the session. And that is my main goal- to keep your baby cozy while I take their photos! I have learned a lot of tricks over the years- maybe I will make a separate post for new parents about some good tricks for getting baby to drift off into a peaceful slumber.
My studio is located in Cary, NC, which is not far from Holly Springs. I have many clients come to me from Apex and Holly Springs. This sweet little guy was awake at the beginning of his session – scroll down to the photos with the blue blanket in the crate! – but he soon drifted off into a peaceful sleep. My favorite setup from this session was the teddy bear pajamas in the wooden bed. How adorable is he??

Incorporating mom and/or dad’s hands into a photo is so special. It shows how tiny baby is, and just results in such a sweet image.

Typically baby is swaddled for parent photos, but this little guy’s mom and dad wanted to see his skin. I have a tiny white diaper cover in the studio that was perfect for this. You can still see his sweet little baby features, but there is no chance of him having an accident on mom or dad!
