I absolutely loved photographing this beautiful family in their gorgeous home to celebrate the arrival of their baby boy! At this Raleigh in-home newborn photoshoot, the light was gorgeous and I really wanted to highlight their great sense of decor. Everything just came together so well! Not to mention that their baby boy is absolutely adorable.

One thing that was great about this in-home lifestyle session in Raleigh is that I was able to include both their cat and dog in one of the photos! Including dogs in the session is a common request, but usually cats don’t cooperate quite as well. I was so happy that their kitty allowed dad to hold her for a photo so that the whole family was in the frame!

If mom and dad have a nursery set up for baby, I always try to include that in the photoshoot. I know that you put a lot of thought into the nursery, and it is a fun memory to have!

If baby is sleepy enough, I will try to do a tummy pose like this, usually on the bed! It is cute to see them all curled up and cozy.
